Mt Albert Grammar Claim Second Successive National Secondary Schools Title


It's two in a row for Mt Albert Grammar after they beat Tauranga Boys College in the final of the National Secondary School Champs in Tauranga on Sunday.  They earlier beat Whangarei Boys in the semifinals 4-1, while Tauranga Boys upset second seeds Auckland Grammar, however MAGS were too strong for the home side in the final.  Whangarei Girls High took out the Girls title, beating Havelock North High School in their final.  Westlake were the top-placed Auckland side in the Girls division coming in third.

The Mt Albert Grammar team was Jack Conder, Mason Smales, Tarin Love, Jae Kwan, Max Conder, and Riley McCracken.

Auckland players also feature heavily in the tournament teams named at the conclusion of event.  Congratulations to the following players;
