A full contingent of 12 Auckland players headed down to Ohakune on 26-28 October as the representatives in their respective grades to participate in the National Champion of Champion Finals against players from across the country.  Earning their positions in the tournament by virtue of their success in the regional competition in early September, individual national titles were on the line as well as the top overall district honours.  

After three days of tough competition, four Auckland players had taken our their divisions.  Congratulations to the following players who are now national champions;

Women's A Grade - Trina Moore (Silverdale)
Men's C Grade - Robert de Jong (Panmure)
Men's E Grade - Thomas Manson (Royal Oak)
Women's F Grade - Danielle Pepper (Red Beach)

Auckland also secured the district trophy on the final day, narrowly beating out a strong challenge from Central.
