Round 5 of the Auckland Premier League at North Shore last night provided more questions than answers as to who will make the top 4 playoffs with two rounds remaining.  

Henderson were the big winners on the day claiming an emphatic 12-0 victory over Remuera and firmly cementing themselves in second spot only one point behind front-runners Belmont Park, setting up a huge clash between the two teams in Round 6.  Behind wins from their three Philippines players, Belmont took a 9-5 win over Browns Bay who were missing regular #1 Chris Lloyd due to injury, but found a more-than-able replacement in English professional Bradley Masters.  The host club North Shore turned it on for their home fans with an impressive 9-4 win over Royal Oak 1, who managed to call on the services of national top #10 player Chris van der Salm for the night.  The result of that match allowed Eden Epsom the chance to climb off the bottom of the table, an opportunity they took hold of with an 11-3 win over Royal Oak 2.  

While Belmont and Henderson are in the box seat for the top two semi-final spots, there is congestion throughout the rest of the table with only 11 points separating the next six teams.  The Premier League takes a break next week due to the long weekend, and resumes with Round 6 on 13th June at Royal Oak.
