Auckland Premier League - Week 3 preview

The Auckland Premier League heads to the Remuera Rackets Club for Round 3 of competition this Tuesday 16th May from 7pm.  With players gearing up and training hard for the upcoming National tournaments including Cousins Shield, the action is starting to heat up on the court.

The home team, currently sitting in second spot, face a Royal Oak 2 team who are dealing with a mini injury crisis but who have acquired the services of mid-A2 player Ed Dromgool.  He will take on Andre Wagenaar in what could one of the more intriguing matchups of the night.

North Shore will have three Premier League debutants in their team to take on the might of the first place Belmont Park team, whose four team members' ages collectively just surpass that of North Shore's World Masters Games 60+ gold medallist Mark Waldin.  Once again the match of the night between these teams looks to be at the #1 spot with Matthew Lucente up against Sion Wiggin.

Browns Bay and Henderson face off with both teams currently occupying third spot on the table, while the match between Royal Oak 1 and Eden Epsom also sees two teams currently tied on the table pitted against one another, albeit at the opposite end in 7th spot.

As per usual entry is free for all spectators, so join the crowd and come see Auckland's top squash players in action.
