Hopes of the 2021 season going uninterrupted have already been dashed with two small lockdowns in Auckland already, with the most recent requiring the postponement of our huge Barfoot & Thompson Auckland PSA Open tournament until May 27-30 and the delay of the start of Autumn interclub by a week.
Not to be deterred, players have hit the squash court in numbers with some exciting PSA Open tournaments already held and Autumn interclub now underway. There's some exciting initiatives being rolled out at clubs across the region including Racketball demo nights and fun Family Nights, and we teamed up with Parafed Auckland to host a 'Para Squash' open day at the National Squash Centre.
Our first Club Referee Power Rankings and Auckland Player Rankings for the year have been released, and the national grading list changes have now been implemented.
