Programme Vision:
Squash Auckland will invest in and deliver a programme where Auckland not only develops the best junior players but also uses the training squads as a ground for developing regional coaches.
All Squads will be staffed with either qualified coaches or those who have been identified as having the potential to coach.
A head coach will be appointed for all squads. The Head coach will have an assistant coach Assistants willl be different for each squad. i.e. one for U13/U15 & one for U17/U19.
As many active coaches as possible in the region will be invited to attend Auckland squad session’s. This will enable them to learn by working with the more experienced coaches.
Squad Selection
There will be 2 squads. Squad One for U19 & U17 players and Squad Two for U15 & U13 players.
Players will be place in squads according to their ability (not neccesarily age).
Players will be selected by a team of Auckland selectors and coaches to attend each camp (on a camp by camp basis). 4 boys and 4 girls will be selected in each age group will be selected to attend each camp.
Players will be advised by letter or email and clubs will also be informed of selection.
Squad Selection will be based on: Recent results, Behaviour, application and potential.
The Auckland Junior representative team will be chosen from individual players results from selection tournaments. Non selection into these squads will not prohibit a player being selected for the Auckland Junior Team.

Squad One: Saturday 28th February, 9am - 1pm & 2pm - 5pm
Squad Two: Tuesday 13th April, 9am - 1pm & 2pm - 5pm
Squad Three: Monday 6th July, 9am - 1pm & 2pm - 5pm
Squad Four: Sunday 20th September, 9am - 1pm & 2pm - 5pm
U15/U13
Squad One: Sunday 1st March, 9am - 1pm & 2pm - 5pm
Squad Two: Wednesday 14th April, 9am - 1pm & 2pm - 5pm
Squad Three: Tuesday 7th July, 9am - 1pm & 2pm - 5pm
Squad Four: Saturday 19th September, 9am - 1pm & 2pm - 5pm

Squad Costs
Players that are selected to attend will be charged $25 per squad and will need to bring their own lunch.
Individual Coaching Sessions
Individual coaching sessions will be subsidised for recognised players. This is one on one coaching and Squash Auckland will invest in a small group of players by partnering with the player and the players parents. The coach must be approved by Squash Auckland.
The subsidy provided will be $20 per session with between 10-25 WEEKLY sessions being offered (depending on level of funding).
This will be reviewed on a 4 monthly basis upon set criteria.
Players who are selected to receive individual investment will be notified in writing in February 2009.
